How to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

In all honesty, I did not take a before picture as I really wasn’t expecting this to work. I put a lot of weight last year due to stress and my stretch marks got considerably more visible. I bought this Palmers anti stretch marks cream which I have ordered on Amazon and surprisingly it came in spanish!!! Not sure why that is… anyway its been in my cupboard for sometime not using it. I started seeing a lot of advertisement for derma rollers. Again , in my head i thought this is going to be one of those things that I buy and never use. 

Initially I bought the derma roller for my face - so I bought a 1.5mm and as predicted I never used it. After a few months I decided to try it out of my stretch marks. So I’ve been using the derma roller each night, running it over my stretch marks for a minute or so and than massaging the palmers anti stretch marks cream on the areas that I have used the dermaroller on. I think due to the fact that the derma roller is poking the tiny needles into your skin, encouraging it to heal - once you add the cream straight after dermarollig, your skin absorbs the cream much better and heals with it deeper in your pores.

I bought a lot of products in the past, but after using them for a few weeks an not seeing any improvement I just gave up. Seeing this work definitely encourages me to make sure I do it every night, as they are getting less and less visible the more I use my dermaroller and cream.

Now, I know its hard to believe as I don’t have before and after pictures but trust me on this! I not one too keep at things for long so I only did it for 3 weeks and I even forget to do it every now and than! BUT I have seen a considerable difference in my stretch marks. I can honestly say they are 50% less visible. 

Here is a close up photo of the micro-needles on the derma roller. I was a bit worried about using it the first time, thinking it will hurt or cause irritation, however I don’t get any irritation with this, just some redness. I do strongly recommend you use some sort of cream or oil after derma rolling to keep your skin hydrated and keep it from irritating.

Of course everyone's body is different, but so far this has been the only thing that has worked for me and I cant wait to carry on doing this method until hopefully they disappear completely!
