The other week I have planned to visit one of the most popular cafe's in London. Peggy Porch Cakes is just as you see it on social media! The flowers around the shop are always looking perfectly pink and the food tastes as amazing as it looks! also, unlike lots of other cafes, Peggy Porchen is super affordable! Maybe their takeaway options which were £8 for a single cookie!!! was a little bit over priced.. this may have been because valentines day was coming soon, but apart from that their in-store food is reasonably priced and very affordable considering its in central London.

The weather on the day we visited Peggy Porchen Cakes was not a warm day at all, however it was to be expected as were in London! and when is London ever warm?!? Anyway, after a 40 minute wait to get a table inside ( The cafe is actually much smaller than you think) We ordered a slice of Salted Caramel cake and a Glorious Victoria which is a traditional Victoria sponge. To warm up a little we also ordered some hot chocolates and of course I couldn't resist getting at least 2 macaroons as they are my absolute favourite dessert! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and the cakes were not dry at all or sickening which a lot of salted caramel cakes tend to be.

Even though there were cute and cosy blankets which they provide if you sit outside, we decided to sit inside this time but I can't wait till spring to revisit Peggy Porchen and sit outside on the terrace with a slice of cake and a cold drink to enjoy the lovely weather! Until then, I will stick to my delicious hot drinks and anywhere that is warm for now!
